Background information
Microdermabrasion is a skin-freshening technique that helps repair facial skin that takes a beating from the sun and the effects of aging. Facial skin resurfacing can be traced to ancient Egyptian times and the application of abrasive masks of alabaster particles. For millennia, various substances have been used to peel, exfoliate, and rejuvenate the skin. These substances include acids, poultices of minerals and plants, and direct irritants such as fire and sandpaper like materials.
This simple, quick and convenient procedure has become very popular with people showing the early signs of aging, sun exposure and other facial imperfections. Non-invasive and non-wounding to the skin’s surface, the procedure entails virtually no discomfort, down time or recovery. clients typically experience some redness for about an hour after the procedure.
In addition to the face, microdermabrasion can be successfully used on the neck, arms and hands. It is also beneficial for clients with darker skin types.
This rejuvenation method is generally indicated for:
- Dull, oily or leathery skin texture
- Contracting enlarged pores
- Exfoliating and suctioning clogged pores in acne cases
- Polishing and reducing fine lines
- Mild acne scarring
- Mild pigment irregularities
- Enhancing penetration of therapeutic agents
Luminous Dermabrasion
Luminous Dermabrasion
Luminous dermabrasion is a creative improvement of the micro-crystal dermabrasion. The Luminous dermabrasion provides a non-surgical skin refinish procedure, by using sterile diamond heads to abrade or rub off the top skin layer, then gently vacuuming out the particles along with any dirt and dead skin backup. This procedure removes skin debris, imperfections, blemishes, wrinkles and unwanted pigmentation on the skin. Moderate usage of Luminous dermabrasion, accompanied with skin products that penetrate through top skin layer that reach the dermis level, helps to replenish natural nutrients, restore cell activity, and promote skin health. The results after a Luminous dermabrasion treatment is healthy, glowing, beautiful skin.
The Hot and Cold Compress Treatment
The hot side is used to open pores; this is done before cleansing the skin. The cold treatment function is specially designed for closing pores and soothing the skin. This is done after a Luminous dermabrasion. Also done to calm down the skin after a Peel. The skin is sensitive after a peel treatment, so the cold treatment procedure provides a soothing relief. The hot treatment function is designed for accelerating the absorption of nutrition.
Ultrasonic Function
The Ultrasonic function utilizes sonic vibrations; the ultrasonic waves stimulates skin tissue and improves permeability of the membrane to promoted collagen tissue, reduce wrinkles and fine lines. Ultrasound will also lift the skin resulting in a younger and healthier look. It will also increase blood flow, dilate capillaries, relax muscles, and facilitate lymphatic flow. The result is softer, smoother skin.
