Background information
Laser Light Hair Therapy has been successfully tested and used in Europe and the United States, where some of the most important scientific and medical discoveries of this century have evolved. For six years it has been employed mostly in the field of dermatology to treat hair loss and diseases of the scalp. Clinical studies reveal that the use of "soft" laser light, delivered with the correct power and at the appropriate wave length, has the ability to stop the progression of hair loss in 85% of patients tested and to encourage re-growth in more than 57% of patients tested. The Spa Lumina Laser Hair Rejuvenation Program uses the most advanced laser for treating thinning hair, the Sunetics Model G.

How does it work?
The Sunetics Model G is an exceptionally well built and efficacious laser. It is configured very much like a state-of-the-art space age hair dryer under which the client sits for 30 minutes. Non-surgical, "soft" laser light stimulates the tissues of the scalp, significantly increasing the number of red corpuscles that deliver life-giving oxygen and nutrients to the hair bulb. The energy and wavelength of the laser is such that there are increased nutrients to the hair follicles, but not so much that any damage is done to the hair, or the skin. This low level laser energy sets into motion a chain reaction of cellular events, that result in increased blood flow to the hair follicles, and this not only sweeps away debris from the hair shaft, but also increased the amount of nutrition the hair gets, resulting in healthier, thicker hair.
The Spa Lumina Laser Hair Rejuvenation Program begins with an aggressive 8-week regimen during which the client has two 30-minute treatments per week, followed by one treatment per week for sixteen weeks. The next phase of the treatment program requires one visit every other week for sixteen weeks, and finally two treatments a month for the remaining six months.
